Query

William and Ezekiel WARREN were brothers who married the sisters Nancy and Polly WISDOM in Caswell Co NC in 1809 and 1816 respectively. Who were the parents of William and Ezekiel? How are they related to the other WARRENs in Caswell Co.

In 1820 William was in Gwinnett Co GA. By 1830 he had been joined by Ezekiel and several other WISDOM in-laws.

In 1840 William has moved to Benton Co AL where he died in 1844. Ezekiel has not been found in 1840, but may be Carroll or Heard Co. Benton Co was later renamed Calhoun and still later the part where William lived became part of Cleburne Co.

In 1850 and 1860 Ezekiel was living in Carroll Co GA, which neighbors Cleburne Co AL. After 1860 he moved to St Clair Co AL, where he presumably died.

The position of the township is based on my understanding of how they were laid out relative to the Huntsville baseline at 34 59 27 N latitude and 86 34 16 W longitude. The map itself is from the mapping service at http://tiger.census.gov/cgi-bin/mapbrowse William mentioned the location of his land in his will. The land of Abner Coffey and William (Jr) was determined from the BLM site at http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/ The portion shown as Carroll Co GA is now part of Haralson Co GA. Any corrections would be greatly appreciated.
