In the name of God Amen I Absolem Jorden of the County Elbert and State of
Georgia, Being in Perfect Sences and Memory thanks Be to almighty God for
Same and Calling to mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing that it is
appointed for all men once to die, I do make and ordain this my Last Will
and Testament. that is to Say Principally and first of all I Give
and Recommend my Soul into the Hands of God that first Gave it me and my
Body to the Earth to be buried in a Christain Like and decent Manner
according to the Descretion of my Executors Nothing Doubting But the General
Resurection to Receive it again by the Mighty Power of God and as Touching
Such Worldly Estate wherewith it hath Pleased God to bless me with in this
Life I give devise and dipose of the Same in the following Manner and form

I desire my debts and funeral Charges be first Paid

Item I give unto my Beloved Wife two Negroes during her Natural Life of the
name of Charles and Hanner and after her death the said Negroes and Increase
to be Equal divided amongst my children.

Item I give Pol, Sam, Tom, Charity these four Negroes to be Equally divided
amongst all my Children.

Item I Give to my Wife with the Rest one Hundred acres of Land Lying on the
River During her Life and after her Death to my son George Walton Jorden

Item Give and bequeath to George Walton Jorden and Joshua Jorden the Land
whereon I now live to be divided with the Land before Given to George Walton
Jordan so as to make both Equal and for Said George Walton Jorden to have
the Lower Part Joining the first Hundred Given

And as Touching my stock of What Quality soever I Give to my Beloved wife
with the Rest During her Life

Lastly I constitute and ordain Thomas Jorden Joshua Jorden Executors and
Mary Jorden my Wife Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament in Witness
I have hereonto set my Hand and fix my Seal this 8th day of October one
thousand seven Hundred Ninety two.
