WILL OF WILLIAM BUSTIN

dated, 19 July 1754

proved, November 1754

In the Name of God Amen_________ ________

I William Bustin of the County of Norfolk Being in Sound mind and
memory Do make this my Last will and Testament: and first I Recommend
my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God who gave it to me and my Body
I leave to the earth whence it was Taken to Be Desently Buried and
as for my Temporal Estate I Dispose as followeth ________

Item, I Give and Bequath unto my Loving wife Sarah Bustin all Singular
my Estate Reyall and personall within and with (out) Dores of what
quallity Soever for her Soport and maintenance During her natural Life
with liberty to make up of wood and timber for her Soport ----?

Item, I Give and Bequath unto my Granson Christopher Bustin my maner
plantation I now Live on with the Land thereunto Belonging Except Two
acres of Land which I Shall Dispose of other ways by this my will which
said Land and plantation as aforesaid I give unto my said Granson
Christopher and his heirs But if he the Said Christopher Should Die
without Issue or Before he attains to the age of Twenty one years then
in Such Case I give the Said Land unto my granson William Bustin and
his heirs forever ________

Item, I Give and Bequath unto my Granson Benjamin Busten my Lands
called Tatems to him and his heirs But & if he the Said Benjamin Should
Die without Issue or before he attains to the age of Twenty one years
then in Such Case I give the Said Land unto my granson Thomas Bustin
& his heirs ________

Item, I give and Bequath unto my Son Thomas Bustin the Land and plan-
tation which he now lives as the Same is Lade off to him and his heirs:
But and if my Granson Christopher or either of the heirs of my son
William Deceased who by this my will, have the right of my manor plan-
tation when they or either of them Comes of Lawfull age Shall Refuse
if Required By my Said Son Thomas to make and Execute Lawfull Convey-
ances to my Said Son to my Said Son Thomas for the Said Lands he now
lives on then in Such Case my will and meaning is that my maner plan-
tation given unto Christopher fall to Said Son Thomas Bustin and his
heirs ________

Item, I give and Bequath unto my son Thomas Bustin a peice of Land
Called the Swamp Land joyning on the Land of Thomas Herbert & my
Granson Benjamin & his heirs ________

Item, I give and Bequath unto my Grandaughter Sarah wife of Sam'll
Sparrow one half acre of Land joyning upon the Line of Mr. Andrew
Sprewll from the water Side upwards also one feather Bead & furniture
to her and her heirs ________

Item, I Give and Bequeath unto my Grandaughter Frankey Busten one
Lott and half acre of Land Joyning to Sarah Sparrows Line upwards
also one Cow and Calf if any left after the Decease of my wife to
her and her heirs ________

Item, I give and Bequath unto my granson Thomas Bustin one half acre
of Land adjoyning on the Line of my grandaughter Sarah from the water
side upwards to him and his heirs ________

Item, I give and Bequeath unto my Granson William Busten one half acre
of Land adjoyning to my Granson Thomas his line so upwards to him and
his heirs ________

Item, My will and meaning is that after the Death of my wife Sarah
that my negro man London Be hired out for the Best price can be gott
and the money arising for Such his hire when my Said Grandson Thomas
Busten comes of Lawfully age to Be equally Divided Between my Two
Gransons Thomas & William Busten But that the Said negro man London
be then and Belong unto my Said Granson Thomas and his heirs ________

Item, My will and meaning is that if my wife Dies Before my Granson
Christopher Comes to Lawfull age that the Houses and Land given unto
him be rented out untill he Comes of age to Inherit them and the
Said rent be for his use only ________

Item, And as to what personal Estate given unto my wife that Shallllllll
Remain after the Death of my wife if any Remains to fall be and Belong
unto my Son Thomas Bustin and his heirs: And further my willlllll is that
this my Small Estate, as well Knowing my Self Clear of Debt & my Said
Estate chiefly given to her my Said wife that the same may not be
appraised not that my Executors many not be compelled to Render an
Inventory of my Said estate And I Doe nominate and appoint my Loving
wife Sarah and my Son Thomas Bustin to be Executor and Executrix of
this my Last will and Testament, In Testimony whereof I have hereunto
Set my hand and Seal this nineteenth Day of July one thousand Seven
hundred and fifty four ________
